Shin Chan - Episode 2 (Full, English Dubbed)

The first story: The Brotherhood of the Groveling Allowance

          This story is sort of like the continuous of Shin's Allowance. After Shinchan failed to get his allowance. His dad comes out with an idea of getting more of his own allowance by controlling Shinchan's allowance. By the way, the cash flow of the family is controlled by the MOTHER! So, both of them formed a brotherhood in order to strike for the allowances. Many funny things happen while they are having the strike. The mother accidentally finds out that her husband has no more money in his wallet. So, in the end, she decides to give a raise in her husband allowance. Well for Shinchan, he is back stabbed again by his father. What a pitiful child. HAHAHAHAHAHA

The second story: Action Bastard says:" Put Your Mouth on a Sausage!"

          This story talks about the used of Action Bastard who is a superhero cartoon to advertise the  green pepper sausage. I wonder why the superhero is called a Bastard when it is translated into English version. The other versions I have watched before have a better name for this superhero. So, continue with the story. Shinchan is attracted by the advertisement and he begs his mother to buy 10 packets of sausages in order to have the 10 stickers on the sausage in an exchange for a Bastard Belt. But he wish is not full filled by his mother. In the end, he ends up being a promoter in  a super market.

The third story: Hima Nohara in "Laundry Quandry"

          This story talks about Hima who is Shinchan's sister gets addicted in building blocks. She used all sorts of different things to built blocks. For more, just watch it for yourself.

The fourth story: Ench-man Begins

          This story talks about the imagination of the principal or more like the imagination of the author on the principal. The principal is a fierce looking guy who is always misunderstood as the head of the gangster. However, he is not the way he looks like. He is a sweet, caring and considerate principal. He plays with the kids and he do not mind to carry them on his back. He treats all the kids as they are his own. So, the story actually tells us not to judge a book by its cover which most of us including me always does it. In this story, he becomes a superhero and goes around the world to help those who are in troubles.

Shin Chan - Episode 1 - Pee Strike (Full, English Dubbed)

Hai, now I am going to share a video of Shinchan in English with you guys.

There are three different stories in this video. One story is roughly about 7 minutes. I had cropped it into six parts in order to upload it on blogger but it took me such a long time. Imagine uploading just one video for the whole morning. So I have posted up a video from Youtube in case I can not upload them. 

I will share some of my views about Shinchan through the use of this video.

First story- Shin's Allowance

          The story starts with three little boys who are Georgie, Maso, and Shinchan discussing about their allowances while having fun on swings. And like usual, Shinchan is showing his buttocks again. Georgie who is a more serious child will always scold Shinchan for behaving in such inappropriate way. Georgie is actually a character who is always so cautious and cares a lot about his academic performance. He feels guilty easily even thought he has none nothing big deal. He also attends a lot of tuition classes. So, the character of Georgie actually potrays the life styles of the children today. Homework, homework, homework, expectation, expectation, expectation, and even maturity? I truly hope our children in the future would not lose their childhood to a bunch of homework and some silly social expectation. They should have the chance to be mischievous. That is the true meaning of childhood, be bad, enjoy, get scolded and learn!
          So continue with the story, Shinchan decides to ask allowances from his mother after knowing that all his friend are having this right of keeping their own money. And of course, his mother would not allow him to get that right. So, he goes on with his own invented pee strike. From the conversation between his mother and Shinchan, we now know the origin of some of Shinchan's attitudes and his sampatness. The interactions between Shinchan and his mother or his friends are always so hilarious. I think there is something wrong with Shinchan's ears. This is what makes him funny and interesting.
          In the end, Shinchan can not hold his pee anymore and ended up urinates at the hallways in his house.


Second Story- A Very Wrong Engagement

          This is a story about the puppy love that most of us used to have before. However, this puppy love is totally different because of the existence of Shinchan.
          In this story, Maso falls in love with Ai but Ai prefer Shinchan. After seeing what Shinchan does to Ai which is by avoiding that tiny love superman, Maso decides to propose a duel against Shinchan. Shinchan like usual misunderstands Maso's intention. He thinks Maso likes him and want to marry him by proposing to him. So, Shinchan has no other choice but to seek advice from his teachers. From this scene, we can see that the teachers are very enthusiastic with their jobs. They are first shock by the news but afterwards, they try to help Maso by talking to him. The principal of the school also says something like : " I believe what is our duties in educate is to treat all student the same regardless of their orientation. " The author is still trying to bring out some positive messages which is stop discriminating but in a funny way. There is things we can learn from Crayon Shin Chan. So, people should no more treat Crayon Shin Chan as some useless cartoon. It gives you not only entertainment and relaxation, but some positive messages as well.
          In the end, Maso realizes that he was so wrong to be angry with Shinchan. He breaks down when he hears Shinchan says the word 'friends'. And of course, the teachers still thinks that Maso is a homosexual because of what Shinchan has told them.


Third Story- Loopy In The Sky With Demons

          This is a story about Shinchan's in a fewer. This story is mainly about the imaginations Shinchan has when he is having a fewer. Event though this is just a simple story, but the author manage to make it into an interesting story. Shinchan has a very creative imagination. All his imaginations are associated with things around him. He thinks of having a pool party when his mother put an ice bag on his forehead, he thinks of a creepy fire monster who is so hot but still not hotter than Angelina Jolin when he feeling super duper hot. He dreams of fighting his fewer monster with Action Bastard and he wins in the end of the story.
          This is just a simple story but the plots are interesting.

History

          So, before I start out with things you don't know about Crayon Shinchan, I would like to give you guys a brief history about him.

'Crayon Shinchan ( クレヨンしんちゃん Kureyon Shinchan, also known as Shinchan) is a Japanese Manga and anime series written by Yoshito Usui.' ( Wikipedia )

The above statement is the definition of Shinchan given by Wikipedia whereas the statement below is my own definition of Shinchan.

'Crayon Shinchan (クレヨンしんちゃん Kureyon Shinchan, also known as Shinchan) is a character that always manage to made me laugh out loud whenever I am depressed or frustrated. He is always so truthful to himself that he loves the way he lives his life. It is his silliness that give rise to his fans' happiness. He is a friend who will try his best to make you laugh.' ( Ahbank )

          Yoshito Usui is Shinchan's 'father'. 

This is Yoshito Usui who had died on September 12, 2009 because of a tragic incident at Mount Arufune. 

          Crayon Shinchan first appeared in 'Weekly Manga Action', which was published by Futabasha. The Crayon Shinchan anime has been on TV Asahi since 13/4/1992. Surprisingly to me, an English subtitled version of Crayon Shinchan was on KIKU-TV in Hawaii from 1/4/1992 through 1/12/2001. Many of the jokes in Crayon Shinchan came from Shinchan's weird and inappropriate use of language, as well as from his inappropriate behavior such as the exposure of his genital part. Some of his famous funny actions are Mr Elephant, Buttock Monster and so on. He liked to talk to adults by asking such questions such as "When are you going to die?" to elderly people or "How many people have you killed?" to tough looking men. So, I personally think Sigmund Frued who always talked about sex and aggression might be Shinchan's number one fan if he was still alive.

          Yet, non-Japanese readers may find it difficult to understand the jokes. In Japanese, some phrases almost always accompany some actions; many of these phrases have standard responses. One of the examples is a gag involves Shinchan confuses his parents by using the wrong phrase for the occasion like saying 'Welcome back!'  instead of 'I'm home!' when he comes home. This is the reason why Crayon Shinchan is very popular East Asian countries because many of the jokes can be translated.
